The deepest Garmin integration available — 17 data types synced

Overview

Pull daily stats, sleep, body composition, training readiness, VO2 max, stress, body battery, fitness age, race predictions, hill and endurance scores, blood pressure, hydration, intraday heart rate and steps, plus Partner API push data for HRV, respiration, pulse ox, skin temperature, and Move IQ.

How the integration works

Omnio integrates with Garmin through the Garmin Health API as a registered partner. A polling worker pulls daily summaries roughly every two hours, and the Partner API push channel delivers HRV, respiration, pulse ox, skin temperature and Move IQ samples as soon as your watch uploads them to Garmin Connect. Seventeen record types are mapped into Omnio's metric catalog — steps, distance and calories, Body Battery charge and drain, stress minutes, sleep score and stages, VO2 max, training readiness, resting and intraday heart rate, body composition, fitness age, race predictions, hill and endurance scores, blood pressure, hydration and health snapshots. Backfill on first connect is limited by how much history your Garmin Connect account retains. Any Garmin device that syncs to Garmin Connect works — Fenix, Forerunner, Venu, Epix, Instinct and vivosmart families all flow through the same pipeline, and no Garmin subscription is required.

What Omnio adds on top of Garmin

Garmin's training-load and performance model is one of the best on the market, but its recovery model leans on wrist-based HRV that's less reliable than overnight finger or chest measurements. Omnio's biggest differentiator here is a unified readiness score that trusts each device on its own strengths — Garmin for training load and structured workouts, Oura or a chest strap for overnight HRV when you have them — rather than forcing one device to speak for the other. Omnio also surfaces the metrics Garmin stores but doesn't expose as first-class, like acute-to-chronic workload ratio and training monotony computed directly from your activity feed, so you can spot rising injury risk before Garmin's built-in status flips. For athletes who run Garmin alongside Oura, WHOOP or a Polar strap, Omnio is the single reconciled view — one timeline, one score, and an AI assistant that can explain why today looks the way it does in plain English.

Frequently Asked Questions

What data does Omnio sync from Garmin?
Omnio syncs 17 data types from Garmin including steps, body battery, stress, sleep, VO2 max, training readiness, body composition, fitness age, race predictions, hill and endurance scores, blood pressure, and intraday heart rate.
How often does Garmin data sync?
Omnio polls your Garmin Connect account every 2 hours, plus supports Garmin Partner API push data for HRV, respiration, pulse ox, and skin temperature.
Do I need a Garmin Connect account?
Yes, you need an active Garmin Connect account. Omnio syncs data that your Garmin device uploads to Garmin Connect — no premium subscription required.
How does Omnio compare to Garmin Connect?
Garmin Connect shows only Garmin data. Omnio merges it with Oura, WHOOP, nutrition, blood work, and more — then applies composite scoring and AI correlations across all your devices.
Which Garmin devices are supported?
Omnio supports any Garmin device that syncs to Garmin Connect, including Forerunner, Fenix, Venu, Instinct, and vivosmart series. We pull 17 data types via the Garmin Health API.
Can I use Omnio with both Garmin and Oura?
