Sync 15 record types from Google Health Connect through the Omnio Android app. Health Connect acts as a hub for Samsung Health, Fitbit, Google Fit, Peloton, Strava, and dozens of other Android health apps — Omnio reads from Health Connect so any data written by those apps shows up automatically.

How the integration works

Health Connect is Google's on-device health data store for Android, not a cloud API. The Omnio Android app reads from it directly through the react-native-health-connect bridge, so every sample stays on the phone until Omnio uploads it — there is no OAuth round-trip, no Google cloud account, and no per-vendor integration to re-authorise. On first connect, Android presents a granular permissions sheet where you grant read access per record type: Steps, Distance, FloorsClimbed, ActiveCaloriesBurned, TotalCaloriesBurned, RestingHeartRate, HeartRate, HeartRateVariabilityRmssd, OxygenSaturation, RespiratoryRate, Weight, BodyFat, LeanBodyMass, SleepSession (with stages), and ExerciseSession. Any app that writes to Health Connect — Samsung Health, Fitbit, Google Fit, Peloton, Strava, Garmin Connect, MyFitnessPal, Zepp — becomes visible to Omnio without a separate integration. Health Connect requires Android 9+ and ships pre-installed on Android 14 and later.
